i am a mechanical engineering student completing project at the minute.The project involves the use of a Bi directional stepper motor that is connected to a blade inside of a cylinder.I need this blade to push a liquid around the inside of a thick walled cylinder.There is also a component inside the cylinder that i do not want to be impacted by the blade so need to have control over where and when it stops.I have been looking at a stepper motor online but the universal controller is expensive and this is prototype so keeping costs down is critical.Does anyone know of a better way to achieve this.
